We proudly use Phosphorus-free fertilizer to do our part in protecting the local lakes, rivers and streams.
In Early Spring, right at winter's end, is the perfect time to start with an application of a slow-release fertilizer that provides the essential nutrients for a quick green up and recovery from winter damage. A pre-emergent weed control product will also be laid down to provide protection from annual grasses such as crabgrass.
In later Spring, a liquid weed control product will be applied to combat a variety of broadleaf weeds such as dandelions and clover, that begin to sprout when the weather gets warmer. A turf and soil enhancing fertilizer is also recommended at this time to increase rooting and decrease stress pressure caused by heat and drought.
As Summer approaches, it is important to keep the lawn nourished to protect it against the stress of hotter temperatures and drought conditions. A slow-release organic fertilizer will be used to help maintain good turf color and plant vigor but prevent excessive leaf growth.
When Fall comes, your turf is stressed coming out of the summer heat and needs the vital nutrients to provide the energy required to begin its fall recovery once the cooler temperatures arrive. A slow-release turf and soil enhancing fertilizer will be applied to help maintain green color during the fall and increase rooting for the winter. We will also apply a weed control product to eliminate any broadleaf weeds such as dandelions, clover, creeping charlie, and more.
